Linear Tape Open fifth generation (LTO-5) magnetic tape drives are the first system with a storage capacity of 1.5 TB per tape (without compression) and a data transfer rate of up to 280 MB/s. Compression technology allows you to write up to 3000 GB of data to each drive.
